The August 2020 meeting was held virtually. Several speakers from MCPS attended and shared important countywide updates as it related to the Reimagine, Reopen, Recover plan for Fall 2020. Back to School Night 
In a virtual world, your Back to School Night will look different. In the past, school representatives were able to set up a table and “register” parents to join the school level Parents’ Council group. This year, since that opportunity won’t be available, PC reps will have to look for other creative ways to reach out to parents of African American students. Talk to Parents’ Council leaders and other school representatives to find out how to maximize your role during this time of virtual presence.
